The tailored separates and dresses collection launched this week and is said to be an “elevated expression of craftsmanship and in-house design” that “sharpens the focus on precision, construction and detail”.

The company said Editorial “marks a new chapter for the brand” with “sculpted silhouettes, considered fabrics, and refined finishes” that’s “a confident celebration of in-house creativity”. Design has been put “back at the center of the brand with a more directional, forward-thinking approach”.

Retail prices start at £129 for a waistcoat and rise to £499 for a leather jacket. That’s higher than the ‘regular’ Karen Millen range but not excessively so (a standard leather jacket might have an RRP of around £369, for instance).

‘Elevation’ and ‘elevated are two of the most popular words in the fashion sector at present. aside from Frasers Group‘s well-known elevation strategy, retail brands that have launched ‘elevated’ collections in more premium fabrics and with in-house design include River IslandGeorge at AsdaLive Unlimited, very UK, and more.
