Nike confirms the launch of its ‘Nike Atelier Merc Premium’ line, fronted by Désiré Doué

Nike Atelier is backing youth—and premium. In the run-up to the 2026 FIFA world cup, Nike’s The premium fashion division, Nike Atelier, is unveiling a wardrobe tailored for French Désiré Doué. At just 21, the Paris Saint-Germain forward becomes the third athlete to be dressed by Nike Atelier, following Maria Sharapova and Jannik Sinner.

However, unlike the two previous capsule collections, Doué’s collection will be available from July in a tightly curated selection of stores.

The “Nike Atelier Merc premium” The collection features an anthracite jacket with a shirt-style collar, the Nike logo emblazoned across the back, and fitted cuffs, paired with matching pleated gray shorts.

The centrepiece of the look is a pair of Mercurial x Pegasus Premium boots, whose upper is taken from the original 1998 Mercurial. A nod to fate, twenty-eight years on from Les Bleus’ first World Cup title? Shot through with a semi-transparent electric blue band, the pair brings a touch of vitality that echoes Désiré Doué’s explosiveness.
